The International Securities Exchange (ISE) yesterday made two IT executives officers of the company: Thomas Reina was named technology development officer, and John Ryan was promoted to technology architecture officer. Both report to Daniel Friel, the ISE’s CIO.

Reina joined the exchange in 2000 from Citibank, where he designed and developed low-level infrastructure and security components for web-based applications. The ISE hired Ryan in 2001 from ShadowTV.com where he was VP of engineering.

On Monday, May 14, Gerry Coady begins a new job with Frontier Airlines as its VP and CIO. He reports to the carriers CFO, Paul Tate. Coady most recently worked for Evident Software as its CTO and EVP of engineering. Before Evident, he worked for Xcel Energy as its chief information technology officer. Coady holds a master’s degree in management and administration from Boston University and is currently completing his PhD in management at Colorado Technical University. 

Dolby Laboratories, the maker of surround-sound technology, hired George Lin as its new VP and CIO, the company announced yesterday. A veteran of the software industry, Lin most recently served as CIO of Advent Software. There, he led the company’s global business process optimization, integration and automation efforts. Before Advent, he led EMC Software’s IT organization, having joined EMC Software after it acquired his previous employer, Documentum. Lin sits on the advisory boards of the Fisher IT Center at the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business and Tablus, a content security solutions provider. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
