VistaPrint CIO Promoted to COO

Wendy Cebula, who recently shared her holiday wish list with CIO.com readers,  received an early holiday gift: The EVP and CIO of VistaPrint was promoted to COO. She starts her new job with the online supplier of graphic design services on January 3, 2007. A six-year veteran of VistaPrint, Cebula succeeds Alex Schowtka, who is leaving the company at the end of March 2007. Prior to VistaPrint, Cebula worked for MotherNagture.com and Partners’s First. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Vesdia Corp., a provider technology and services for loyalty marketing, hired Roger Hardgrove as its new CTO. Hardgrove is charged with expanding the company’s technology platform and with leading several large implementations of the company’s technology at customers’ sites.  He came to the Atlanta-based company from another loyalty system provider, ESC, where he was CIO.

The Austin American-Statesman reported yesterday that Texas’s first CTO, Larry Olson, is leaving his post at the end of the month. In his resignation letter, from which the Statesman quotes, he says he’s leaving to pursue a new challenge and doubts he’ll ever return to state government.  The Texas Department of Information Resources’ governing board appointed Olson’s aide Brian Rawson interim CTO, according to the Texas daily.
