Federal Computer Week (FCW) reported yesterday that Ira Hobbs is retiring from his post as CIO of the U.S. Treasury Department at the end of the year. Hobbs joined the money printing agency in June 2004 after spending 22 years with the Agriculture Department.

On December 1, the state of Indiana will have a new CIO. Government Technology reports that Gerry Weaver, the state’s CTO, will step into the role currently occupied by Karl Browning. Browning is moving into a new role as the commissioner of the state’s department of transportation.
