Plus: Sean Forrester joins Diebold and more Raymond Dury, the former CIO of Ameritrade who resigned from that post in 2002, has resurfaced on my radar. Fifth Third Bancorp hired Dury, 46, as its new CIO. Dury starts his new job with the Cincinatti-based financial services company on Monday, November 13, and reports to Fifth Third COO, Greg Carmichael, who held the CIO post before he was promoted in July 2006. Dury most recently worked for Citigroup under CIO Marv Adams as the managing director of its infrastructure group. John Crowther, VP and CIO of voting and ATM machine manufacturer Diebold, hired Sean Forrester as his new VP of IT. Forrester begins his new role leading the consolidation of Diebold’s enterprise applications and systems architecture on December 4. He most recently worked for SPX Corp. in the same role. Prior to SPX, he worked for Dana Corp. for 18 years. RTI International announced yesterday that it officially made David Roseberry its VP of IT services and CIO. Travel software industry veteran Abhi Dhar wrote to me yesterday to let me know that he joined TravelCLICK as its new SVP CIO on November 3. Dhar is in charge of the business process management solutions provider’s technology strategy and product development efforts for its distribution and marketing applications. Prior to TravelCLICK, Dhar served as CTO in charge of applications for Galileo Americas. Two weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Chris Harrison, who had recently been promoted to VP of application development at Kaplan University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Sorry I didn’t get news of your promotion on Movers & Shakers sooner, Chris!) He earned the promotion just months after joining the organization in June 2006 as executive director of application development. Prior to joining Kaplan U., he worked for Del Monte Fresh Produce in Coral Gables, Fla. as its director of global development and integration. He also previously worked for Royal Caribbean, AIG and Radisson in IT leadership roles.
