It didn’t take Joe Eng (pictured at left) to long to land his next job. The former CIO of Swift e-mailed me yesterday to let me know that he’s now president and CEO of Spectrum Systems Inc. He mentioned in his e-mail that his move to the Riverwoods, Ill.-based technology consulting firm is an “opportunity to fully run a business.” To read more about Eng’s work at Swift and abut his four principles for managing expectations, check out the profile my colleague Allan Holmes wrote for the November 1, 2005 issue of CIO. Also yesterday, Yom Senegor, the former CIO of Safeco Insurance, joined Torrent Technologies’ board of advisors. Senegor, who left Safeco last April, previously worked for Accenture. He was one of the consulting firm’s three managing partners in charge of its North American insurance practice. The Dallas Business Journal reported last week that David Muntz left his post as CIO of Texas Health Resources to join Baylor Health Care System in a similar position later this month.
