Coca-Cola Enterprises today announced that Esat Sezer is joining the Atlanta-based bottling company as its senior vice president and CIO. Sezer, 44, will start his new job with Coca-Cola Enterprises on October 11, 2006 and will report to Coca-Cola Enterprises’ president and CEO John Brock. Sezer, who most recently served as  Whirlpool’s corporate vice president and CIO, was hired for his leadership skills and SAP expertise. Prior to joining Whirlpool in 2001 as its vice president of global information systems, Sezer worked for Colgate-Palmolive for a decade in a variety of different positions.  Coca-Cola Enterprises is a separate company from The Coca-Cola Company, where Jean-Michel Arès serves as CIO.

Everyone’s favorite German software provider SAP hired a new CIO. His name is Uwe Herold. He’s based in Walldorf, Germany and reports to Claus Heinrich. Herold joins SAP from auto supplier Brose Fahrzeugteile where as CIO he was responsible for the Brose Group information systems as well as for the introduction and migration of various—you guessed it—SAP applications. Before joining Brose in 1999, Herold worked for Hydac Filtertechnik where he headed up the company’s process engineering and organizational development functions.
