Lucent CIO Elected to Serena Software Board

CIO’s sister publication Computerworld ran a story today warning IT managers that they may be fired, demoted or forced to resign from their positions if security breaches take place on their watch.  The article points to the fallout from recent incidents at Ohio University, AOL and the Department of Veterans Affairs as evidence of this trend. 

Elizabeth Hackenson, the CIO of Lucent Technologies was appointed to Serena Software’s  board of directors. 

Blake Young
Energy industry service provider Comverge elected R. Blake Young (pictured at left) to its board of directors.  Young is a former CIO of Tenneco Energy (now El Paso Energy) and of Campbell’s U.S. Grocery division.  He most recently served as EVP and chief administrative officer at Dynegy

Tracey Rothenberger  was promoted from VP to CIO at Ikon Office Solutions.  He now reports to Ikon’s chairman and CEO, Matthew Espe, and in his new position will oversee Ikon’s migration to an integrated ERP platform.  Rothenberg has worked for Ikon since 1999.  Previously he held IT leadership positions with Ecolab and U.S. Trust.
