United Press International reported yesterday that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) created a CIO post and tapped Jonathan Palmer to fill it.  An Australian citizen, Palmer currently serves as CIO at the Australian Bureau of Statistics.  He assumes his new role in late September.

Harold Hampton rolled on over to RolloverSystems from Knight Ridder.  Hampton was appointed senior vice president of technology and operations at the provider of outsourced retirement plan rollover services.  He previously worked for The Charlotte Observer as its vice president of operations and technology and for the St. Paul Pioneer Press as its CIO.
