Randall Thursby begins his new job as interim CIO of the North Dakota University System (NDUS) today, according to Computerworld. Thursby takes over from Grant Crawford, who announced his resignation from the CIO post at NDUS earlier this month. NDUS has been struggling with an ERP implementation. Thursby, who is managing partner of his own technology consulting firm in Georgia, is a former CIO of Georgia’s University System. In other higher-ed news, The Macon Telegraph reports that Macon State College appointed Roger Dixon as its new CIO. Dixon has worked for Macon State since 1983, when he joined the university as a programmer. Prior to his current promotion, he was director of operations.
