New CIO to head up performance initiatives

It’s been a slow week for job announcements about CIOs.  Just one today:

Global Power Equipment Group tapped John McNaughton as its new CIO and vice president of performance, planning and strategy.  He will be working closely with Global Power Equipment Group’s President and CEO Al Brousseau to implement processes and new information systems at the Tulsa, Okla.-based company’s Heat Recovery business unit.  McNaughton did similar work for Global Power Equipment Group’s Auxiliary Power business unit.  McNaughton will also be responsible for developing Global Power’s long-term strategy and short-term performance initiatives such as lean manufacturing, six sigma and balanced scorecards.
