Let’s start today’s entry with some insider gossip: Cendant named Jeff Edwards CIO of its hotel group. This qualifies as insider gossip because my credible source on this item told me that it hadn’t been announced publicly but had been revealed inside the company.  Keep those leads coming.

Federal Computer Week reports that the National Archives promoted its CIO, Reynolds Cahoon, to senior advisor on electronic records.  Taking over Cahoon’s CIO duties is Martha Morphy, the director of information resources policy and projects.

Earlier this month, Secured Funding hired Joe Lindsay as its CIO.  He joined the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based mortgage provider from QS Labs, where he served as president and CTO.

David Hunter joined Cenveo a few weeks ago as the full-service graphic design and printing company’s SVP and CIO.  He’s been put in charge of helping to turnaround the company by “streamlining IT resources” and by developing a technology strategy, according to the press release announcing his hire. Hunter most recently worked for R.R. Donnelly as VP of Technical Services.  Previously, he held IT management positions with Nestle Waters and PepsiCo.
