Carl Dill appointed CEO of Technology Solutions Co.

A former McDonald’s CIO was named chairman and CEO of the generically named Technology Solutions Co. earlier this week.  Carl Dill (profiled in this CIO story), 60, had been serving as lead director of the Chicago-based technology solutions provider.  He replaces Michael Gorsage who “resigned to pursue other business interests.”  Dill was vice president and CIO of Time Warner from 1998 until 2001.  Prior to Time Warner, he worked for McDonald’s for 16 years, ending up as the fast food chain’s senior vice president and McCIO.    

Jack Baugh recently joined healthcare cost management company National Care Network as its CIO.   Baugh has worked for Citigroup, United Insurance Companies and Hospital Corporateion of American in executive level IT roles. 

In October, Gibraltar Industries hired David McCartney as its vice president of information services.  McCartney, 56, is a member of the materials manufacturer’s Corporate Executive Council and reports to Gibraltar President and COO Henning Kornbrekke.  Most recently, McCartney consulted for a $300-million consumer goods company where he planned and managed supply chain execution and operational improvements.  Prior to his consulting gig, McCartney worked for EMC and Bausch & Lomb. At the eye care company, he held several director-level positions in charge of global supply chain systems, global strategy, operations, IT, and system development and manufacturing.  He began his career with Andersen Consulting.
