Last week, a reader tipped me off about a new IT exec at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBS of RI.) I finally have some information about this person. Everett J. Sutherland is the new vice president of information technology services. He’s responsible for developing, planning, managing and implementing all business process and information service activities for the health insurance provider. He most recently worked for LSI Market Intelligence as CTO. In that position, he updated LSI’s technology platform from legacy systems to web-based systems. Sutherland, an officer in the U.S. Army, earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from West Point and his master’s degree in engineering management from George Washington University. Cam Henderson officially joined Portland General Electric as CIO today. He has held CIO positions for 13 years, most recently with Stockamp & Associates and Willamette Industries. Henderson is a CPA. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
