RIM gets creative in its latest video promoting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) platform. Even BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion (RIM), typically thought of as a conservative company that focuses mostly on business, deserves to have fun every once and a while. And that’s just what RIM, or at least its PR team, appears to have done with its latest promotional video highlighting the BlackBerry platform’s enterprise strengths. RIM’s advertising arm has really stepped up its game in recent weeks, but it’s mostly consumer-oriented features and functionality, like BBM and BlackBerry App World, we see mentioned in TV commercials, on billboards and at sporting events. This latest video is unique in that it’s meant for enterprise audiences, but it’s both fun and creative, and I give credit to RIM for coming up with the idea and executing it admirably. I won’t any waste more space detailing the video, as it’s mostly self-explanatory and doesn’t really include any “surprises.” But I will say this: The word “BlackBerry” just sounds right when spoken in an English accent.
