Paris-based By Atelier is "celebrating the launch of Samsung's Galaxy S5" with a blindingly orange alligator skin case and wristband for the Gear Fit smartwatch. And the set only costs $2,500. The following image pretty much speaks for itself. But I’ll provide a few of the missing details: This “exclusive limited edition orange alligator leather Samsung GS5 and Gear Fit” combo from By Atelier, a Paris-based maker of luxury tech accessories, costs approximately $2,500 (1,800€), and it comes with both of the devices; the vibrant alligator skin smartphone case; a matching wristband for the Gear Fit; a calfskin printed leather orange pouch; and 1 year of “exclusive concierge service.” About that concierge service: “Every owner of a personalized smartphone by the brand By Atelier has an exclusive concierge service application, available 24/7 worldwide, providing them with a solution to their slightest desire at every instant. Organizing their next trip to Shanghai, reserving a table at the latest trendy restaurant in a European capital, arranging a last-minute weekend on the island of Guana…” So in addition to the wacky orange accessories, you also apparently get a travel agent…or something. If you just won the lottery, and you’re looking for strange new ways to blow through your new fortune, if you’re an eccentric millionaire, or you’ve simply lost your mind, you can preorder the set in one of By Atelier’s boutiques in Hong Kong, Macao, China, Vietnam and “in selective distribution in Paris, London, Dubai, Moscow, New York and Shanghai.” The company is accepting online preorders at ByAtelier.com. By Atelier also offers a handful of gaudy (and really, really expensive) iPhone cases. Suddenly the black leather case on my iPhone looks rather ho hum.
