Samsung is sending out press invites to events in Berlin and New York City, where it is expected to unveil the latest version of its Galaxy Note smartphone-tablet hybrid. This morning I received an invite to Samsung’s Unpacked Episode 2 event in Berlin, Germany, on September 4th. The event, which will coincide with IFA, a massive consumer electronics show in Berlin, is also being broadcast live in New York City’s armpit Times Square. Samsung didn’t specify which new product will be unveiled this time around. (Doesn’t it seem like Samsung just announced the Galaxy S4? That was “Episode 1.”) But it did say I’d be able to get a “first hands-on experience of the next GALAXY” if I can make it to either locale, the word “note” appears on the invite, and there’s been a number of recent rumors regarding a new Note. So it’s a fairly safe bet the Note 3, or Note III, or whatever name Samsung decides to give the gigantic monstrosity of a phone, ne, phablet, will be the center of attention It also sounds like the Times Square broadcast will be open to the public, so if you’re in New York and can bare the tourist trove that is Times Square, you can probably get in on some of the fun at 1PM ET on September 4th.
