Don't miss a thing from Google's 2013 I/O conference. CIO.com's Al Sacco shares his unconventional I/O '13 live blog, with a live video feed of the opening keynote, images and video from the show (and the parties) and much more.

This is my live blog. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My live blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life…

– From the Live Blogger’s Creed

If you can’t tell, I take live blogging very seriously; probably more seriously than any sensible person should.

Google I/O is one of the most popular tech events of the year, and as such, you’ll find no shortage of live blogs. This one is different, because I’m not only covering the opening-day keynote and other major news announcements. This is a live blog of the entire show, starting when I touch down in San Francisco and closing out when there’s no more noteworthy I/O ’13 tidbits to be had.

You can watch the I/O keynote right here, and because the address is streaming live, I won’t just rehash what’s said. Instead, I’ll add context and colorful commentary. I’ll post images and video from around the event. And I’ll share other unique sights and sounds from the show, with the idea of bringing you interesting things you won’t find in all those other boring traditional I/O live blogs.

Check this post often for updates—or follow me on Google+, where you’ll find all of my related Google I/O ’13 entries.
