I’ve always been a huge fan of Marvel’s Thor character. I’ve read Thor comics since I was a kid, and I’ve mostly enjoyed the recent Thor movies from Marvel. They've brought the God of Thunder to life in a way that I never thought I'd see when I was growing up.
Now the company has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok movie and it looks like a doozy of a film! In the new film Thor has to battle the Hulk in a gladiator fight, and he has to save Asgard from Hela, the Goddess of Death.
Here’s the Thor: Ragnarok trailer in all its glory:
Wow! Talk about whetting people’s appetites for the film! Hela, Thor, and the Hulk in one movie? Definitely a recipe for a hit flick! I can’t wait to see it, I think it’s going to be great.
The first thing you notice in the trailer is a song from Led Zeppelin called “Immigrant Song.” I’m also a huge Zeppelin fan and I couldn’t believe that Marvel had licensed the song for the movie, but it fits the film perfectly.
Here’s a live video of Zeppelin doing the song:
“Immigrant Song” is from Led Zeppelin 3, one of my all-time favorite albums by the band. It contains some great acoustic and blues songs as well as terrific rock music from Zeppelin.
Thor apps and games for iPhone and iPad
Unfortunately, the movie isn’t coming out until November 3. Until then you’ll have to content yourself with checking out some great apps and games for iOS that feature Thor.
Here’s a list of apps and games that you can get right now that will let you have some fun with the God of Thunder on your iPhone or iPad.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril
Marvel Stickers: Items of Power
Get the Thor movies and TV shows on iTunes
If the iOS apps and games listed above aren’t enough to tide you over until the release of Thor: Ragnarok then you can snag the older Thor movies from iTunes:
iTunes also has some animated TV shows that include Thor:
The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
I hope that's enough Thor to tide you over until November. It can’t get here fast enough for me!
