As global CIO at Bain, Ramesh Razdan will primarily oversee the company’s digital transformation, helping the company’s clients employ digital in a holistic fashion. He was previously CTO and global head of product engineering with the Boston Consulting Group and was with Dell for many years prior to that. Razdan has a degree in electronics engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Sheri Rhodes joins Workday as CIO

Sheri Rhodes

Sheri Rhodes has joined Workday as CIO – only the company’s second one. She was formerly executive vice president and CTO for Western Union. She will have overall responsibility for all enterprise-wide IT systems, including go-to-market applications and Workday on Workday (WoW). Rhodes has an MBA in information systems from San Diego State University.

Varadheesh Chennakrishnan hired as CIO for JOANN Stores

As CIO for JOANN Stores, Varadheesh Chennakrishnan will oversee the integration of customer-facing technologies and the development of new operations systems, among other areas of responsibility. He joins the company from Ulta Beauty, where he was senior vice president of applications and enterprise architecture.

Chennakrishnan has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, as well as a Master of Science degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

Stephen Aschettino named vice president, CIO for Deciphera Pharmaceuticals

In his new role, as vice president and CIO for Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, Stephen Aschettino will develop the IT roadmap for the organization. Previously, Aschettino was CIO and chief privacy officer for Sarepta Therapeutics, where he led the company’s global IT strategy and infrastructure builds to coincide with the incredibly successful launch of the firm’s first therapy. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in management of information systems from Babson College.

Raghu Sagi was named CIO of Inspire Brands. As such, he will oversee all technology initiatives and the digital transformation for the company. Previously, he was chief engineering officer and vice president of digital and retail technology for Sephora Americas. Sagi has a Bachelor of Technology degree in electronics and communications engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Rick Johnson appointed CIO for Sonoco

Rick Johnson has been named CIO for Sonoco. He joins the firm from HNI where he was vice president and CIO. He also held other IT leadership roles with Johnson Controls, Capgemini, and Ernst & Young. Johnson has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University.

Darla Morse now CIO for CKE Restaurants

Darla Morse has been named CIO for CKE Restaurants where she will oversee all IT initiatives and technology innovation, as well as optimize IT infrastructure. Prior to joining CKE Restaurants, Morse was CIO for Inspire Brands. She has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA from Webster University.

Dion Rooney appointed CIO at GAF Materials

In his new role as CIO at GAF Materials, Dion Rooney will be responsible for leading the technology organization and overseeing digital transformation for the company. He was previously with Hudson’s Bay Company and Toys “R” Us. Rooney has both a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA in computer science from Seton Hall University.

Lookman Fazal joins New Jersey Transit as CIO and chief digital officer. He has more than 20 years of IT leadership experience, and he was previously CIO of Argo Turboserve Corp. Fazal has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Ramapo College and a master’s degree in management from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Dan Terrasi promoted to CIO at US Bancorp

Dan Terrasi has been named CIO at US Bancorp. He was most recently senior vice president & business information officer of the wholesale division for the company. Previously, he held IT leadership roles with Westpac Banking Corp. and Citi Group. Terrasi has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Hofstra University.

Sean Lennon appointed CIO with Medtronic

Sean Lennon has been named CIO at Medtronic. Previously, he was senior vice president, chief information and digital officer at Allergan. And prior to that, he was vice president of global IT infrastructure for Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Lennon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from St. John’s University.

Americold names Sanjay Lall as executive vice president and CIO

As executive vice president and CIO at Americold, Sanjay Lall will be responsible for global IT, providing the highest level of IT security and cutting-edge supply-chain technologies to internal and external customers. He was most recently vice president and global CIO for interface. Lall holds a MS in computer science from the University of Miami.

Bob Border appointed CIO & digital transformation leader for Ingredion

Bob Border joins Ingredion from Coveris Group, where he had been CIO. He was previously with Pregis as vice president and CIO. Border has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and accounting from Illinois State University, and he has an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Ty Tastepe named SVP, chief information and digital officer for Altar’d State

As senior vice president and chief information and digital officer at Altar'd State, Ty Tastepe will lead IT and digital strategy in support of exceptional experiences for guests and associates. He joins Altar'd State from Universal Parks and Resorts where he was senior vice president of global solutions delivery. Tastepe holds an MBA from Villanova University, and master's and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering from Drexel University.

Kroger promotes Yael Cosset to SVP and CIO

Yael Cosset has been named SVP and CIO at Kroger. Prior to that, he was chief digital officer with the company. And before that he was chief commercial officer and CIO with 84.51˚ and global CIO for Dunnhumby. Cosset received a master’s degree in business administration and management from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Chambéry.

Hearst Corporation names Mahendra Durai as CIO

Mahendra Durai has been named CIO at Hearst Corporation. Prior to that, he was most recently senior vice president and chief information technology officer for CA Technologies, where he had been for several years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India, and an MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Krebs joins the company from Fidelis Care, where he was CIO for several years. Prior to that, he was CIO for PCB Piezotronics. Krebs has a degree from the University at Buffalo School of Management, State University of New York.

Brian Rice named executive vice president and CIO, customer support services, Cardinal Health

Rice was most recently global business services senior vice president and CIO with Kellogg, where he was employed for more than 10 years. Rice has a bachelor’s degree in CIS from Ferris State University.

Sony Jacob now CIO with SSM Health

Jacob was formerly CIO for Presbyterian Healthcare Service, where he oversaw IT strategy and planning, operations and leadership for the IT team. He has a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Mangalore University, a master’s in technology management from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University, and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.

Dan Hedstrom promoted to vice president and CIO with Cubic

Hedstrom will head up a broad range of IT initiatives, and manage the global IT team, including information security, platform services and business support. He was most recently vice president of system solutions and services for the company’s Transportation Systems division. Hedstrom has a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Lance Wills named executive vice president and CIO for Pier 1

Wills, with nearly 23 years of IT experience, joins the company from Toys R Us, where he was executive vice president and global technology officer. Wills has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Central Institute of Technology in New Zealand.

Kaushal Joshi named senior vice president and CIO for Northern Trust

Joshi was formerly vice president for investment and wealth management with Franklin Templeton Investments, where he had been for many years. He is a graduate of the University of Mumbai and has an MBA from Virginia Tech, Pamplin College of Business.

Gabrielle Wolfson named senior vice president, CIO and chief digital officer for Quest Diagnostics

Wolfson will lead IT, informatics and digital strategy at the firm. She joins the company from Xerox, where she was CIO, and the Wyndham Hotel Group, where she was also CIO. Wolfson holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Queens College and has a master’s degree in technology management from Columbia University.

Greg Higham appointed CIO for Malwarebytes

Higham, with more than a quarter century of IT leadership experience, will oversee security, business applications and operations for the company. He was previously in leadership roles with Marketo and other organizations. He earned a degree in computer technology from CDI.

Roshan Navagamuwa named CIO for CVS Health

Navagamuwa had most recently been the interim CIO for the organization, and will oversee the integration of Aetna’s IT organization into the current IT organization, as part of last year’s acquisition. Previously, he had served as senior vice president for client services and vice president for government Ssstems for the company. Navagamuwa holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Denison University.

Phil Steitz named CTO for Nextiva

Steitz, as the company’s first CTO, is responsible for product development, engineering, architecture and overall technology strategy for the company. He previously held the CTO role at Pegasus Solutions, Edgenuity, Deem and American Express. Steitz has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Beloit College and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Maryland.

Carlo Pochintesta named as CIO for Barnes & Noble

Pochintesta was previously CIO for Rag & Bone Holdings. In his new role, he will oversee IT, telecommunication networks and computer systems, as well as technology resources and strategy for the company. Pochintesta holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Pace University.

Craig Richardville named senior vice president and CIO for SCL Health

Richardville will oversee the management of IT strategy and operations, enterprise systems, applications, security, infrastructure, automation, and digital transformation for the organization. He was previously senior vice president and CIAO for Carolinas HealthCare System. Richardville has a bachelor’s degree in both business administration and computer systems and an MBA in finance from the University of Toledo.

Dan Morales appointed CIO for Universal Music Group

Cisco appoints Jacqueline Guichelaar as Global CIO

Guichelaar will oversee all technology infrastructure, application development and digital strategy for the organization. Previously, she was group CIO at Thomson Reuters and has also held senior IT leadership roles with Lloyds Banking Group and Deutsche Bank.

Moore has a BS degree from Colorado State University.

Justin Mennen now senior vice president and CIO at Rite Aid

As senior vice president and CIO at Rite Aid, Justin Mennen will oversee all aspects of the company’s technology and information operations. He joins the organization from CompuCom, where he was chief digital officer and CIO. Mennen has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
