Shah, presently senior vice president and chief information and digital officer for Eli Lilly, where she’s been employed since 1994 and in her current role since 2016, has been appointed to serve on the board for Northwestern Mutual.  Shah received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in India, and then her PhD in applied statistics from the University of California, Riverside.

Blue Shield California appoints Lisa Davis as senior vice president and CIO

Davis, bringing more than 20 years of IT leadership and many industry recognitions, joins the company from Intel, where she was vice president & general manager for digital transformation & scale solutions, enterprise & government, and data center group. In her new role, Davis will spearhead technology modernization efforts for the organization. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Science from Golden Gate University.

Weyerhaeuser names Rebecca Straka as CIO

Straka joined the organization from REI, where she had been vice president IT – enterprise technology and shared services. She holds a Bachelor of Administration from Washington State University, Carson College of Business and a Master of Science from Western Governors University.

Sheryl Haislet named CIO for Vertiv

Previously, Haislet was CIO and vice president of digital office for Adient. In her new role, she will oversee the global IT organization, aligning with company initiatives that drive innovation. She has more than 25 years of IT leadership experience. Haislet holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in information systems from Grand Valley State University.

Michael Brooks appointed senior vice president and Global CIO at LKQ

Brooks joins the organization from GATX, where he was CIO, COO, and senior vice president portfolio management, and he had previously been vice president and CIO for Constellation NewEnergy. Brooks has a BA in economics from the University of Georgia and an MBA from American University, Kogod School of Business.

Beaumont Health names Hans Keil as Senior Vice President and CIO

Keil joins the firm from PerkinElmer, where he was Vice President and CIO. In his new role, he will oversee the vision, leadership, development and implementation of IT initiatives for the organization. Keil has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Master’s Degree from American University, and an MBA from Babson College – Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Accenture promotes Penelope Prett to CIO

Prett joined the organization more than 25 years ago, and has held roles of increasing responsibility and leadership. Most recently, she was Senior Managing Director and Global Quality & Risk lead for the company’s Resources operating group. Prett holds an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

CHRISTUS Health promotes Jonathan Manis to Senior Vice President and CIO

Manis joined the organization earlier this year, and moved into his current role upon the retirement of George Conklin. Previously, Manis was Senior Vice President and CIO with Sutter Health, where he was for many years. Manis is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, the Naval Postgraduate school, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Vittorio Cretella appointed CIO at Procter & Gamble

Cretella joins the firm from VCAdvisory, where he was a principal. Prior to that, he was Global CIO for Mars. In his new role, he oversees all IT operation for the organization. Cretella holds a diploma in Computer Sciences from IT IS Marconi, in Verona, Italy.

Sathish Muthukrishnan named Chief Information, Data and Digital Officer for Ally Financial

Muthukrishnan will direct all IT, data, and digital transformation for the company, focusing on advanced technical capabilities for infrastructure and cyber security. He was most recently Chief Digital and Information Officer for Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to that, he was CIO - Enterprise Digital, Enterprise API Engineering & Big Data Labs with American Express for several years. Muthukrishnan holds an engineering and computer science degree from the University of Madras.

Archana (Archie) Deskus appointed Senior Vice President and CIO with Intel

Deskus joins the organization from Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, where she had been CIO since 2017. In her new role, she will lead global IT operations and drive organizational transformation for the company. She had previously held CIO roles at Baker Hughes, Ingersoll Rand, Timex, United Technology. Deskus received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Carlisle Companies promotes Laura Walsh to newly created role of Vice President and CIO

Enterprise Holdings promotes Russ Wiley to Senior Vice President and CIO

Wiley, promoted from the role of Senior Vice President Accounting & Shared Services, joined the organization in 2016. Prior to that, he was CFO with Centric Group, and had previously worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car for 15 years. Wiley has both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from Truman State University.

Ellie Mae promotes Linh Lam to Senior Vice President, CIO

Riazi joins the organization from the United Nations, where she served as Chief Information Technology Officer and Assistant Secretary General since 2013. In her new role, she will be tasked to execute an enterprise-wide, long-term strategic IT plan, as well as overseeing all IT resources for the company. She has more than 30 years of leading large transformation efforts in both the public and private sectors. Riazi has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Perdue Farms names Mark Booth as CIO

Booth brings 30 years of infrastructure, application development, and IT leadership experience to his new role. Previously, he was CIO and Senior Vice President for Reyes Beverage Group, and had also been employed by Whirlpool. Booth holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Master’s in Computer Science from Webster University.

Joe Bruhin appointed senior vice president and CIO for Breakthru Beverages

Bruhin joins the organization from Constellation Brands, where he was CIO. In his new role, he will oversee strategic IT initiatives. Bruhin has both a Bachelor of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Michelle Borninkhof promoted to US CIO with McDonald's

Borninkhof joined the organization as vice president US Operations in August 2018 and was previously in IT leadership roles at Walmart for several years. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.

Sunitha Chamarti named CIO for Guardian Life Insurance

Charmarti joined the firm after nearly four years as global vice president of IT with Aon. She holds a Bachelors in Science degree from Osmania University.

Lynn Bishop promoted to CIO with Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation

Bishop, with the organization for more than a decade, most recently as chief development officer, now has oversight for development, testing, communication and processing systems, as well as all IT applications related to the company’s products and services. Additionally, Bishop was recently appointed as a senior sponsor of Girls Who Code, a national non-profit closing the gender gap in IT.

MyEyeDr. Appoints Bill Tingle as chief information and digital officer

Tingle was most recently senior vice president and CIO of PODS Enterprises, LLC. He brings more than 20 years of IT leadership experience to MyEyeDr., a network of 500 vision care centers in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Midwest and Southeast United States. He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University.

Harold Bruss named senior vice president and CIO for Safelite Glass

Bruss’s new role will involve all IT operations including strategy. Previously, he was senior vice president and CIO for Ascena Retail Group. Bruss holds a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS from The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University.

NPD Group promotes Darren Person to global CIO

Person joined the organization early in 2019 as chief data strategy officer. His new role now encompasses operations and IT, and he spearheads development of the company’s technology platform so as to address client needs by means of innovative data and analytics. Previously, Person was with RELX Group, where he held a number of key roles driving the technology vision, strategy and execution from cloud migration to implementations of enterprise scale data and analytics. 

Person has a BS in Computer Information Science from Ithaca College and an MBA from Columbia Business School at Columbia University.

Sysco appoints Michael Foster to chief information and technology officer

Foster was most recently CIO and CTO for CN Railway, and was previously senior vice president IT/CIO FedEx Freight with FedEx Services, where he had been employed for many years. In his new role, he is responsible for strategic technology initiatives with Sysco. Foster has a BA in International Business from Richmond – The American University in London.

Invitation Homes names Virginia Suliman as executive vice president and CIO

Suliman will lead the IT team as well as create technology strategy for the organization. Previously, she was senior vice president of software engineering at Hilton Worldwide, where she held roles of increasing responsibility and IT leadership for more than 20 years. Suliman has a degree from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Rhonda Vetere named executive vice president and CIO for Herbalife

Vetere joins the organization with a deep back ground that includes chief information & technology officer with Estee Lauder Companies and senior vice president, managing director global technology & infrastructure for AIG. In her new role, she will have global responsibility for the IT organization, inclusive of strategy and implementation. Vetere holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University.

State Street appoints Brian Franz as CIO

Franz joins the company from Diageo PLC where he was for many years, most recently as chief productivity officer leading the IT organization. In his new role, Franz will focus on client and employee experience, agile innovation and productivity, and achieving the status of a digital-first organization.

McKesson names Nancy Flores as executive vice president, CIO, and CTO

Flores succeeds Kathy McElligott, who is retiring, and joins the firm from Johnson Controls, where she was CIO. Flores’ new role will entail responsibility for the company’s technology governance, IT security and risk management, infrastructure and service delivery, as well as enterprise IT strategy.

Flores holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Mathematics from Regis University, and a master’s degree in Mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines.

Tyler Best appointed CIO with Adient

Best joins the organization from Hertz, where he was executive vice president and CIO. Prior to that, he was CIO with YP, The Real Yellow Pages. Best holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University.

Newport Group appoints Wayne Haughey as CIO

Haughey joins the retirement services provider from TIAA Financial Services, where he was Head of Retail Product Technology and CIO of TIAA Bank. In his new role, he will oversee the Technology and Digital Innovation team. Haughey holds a B.S.B.A. in computer information systems from Northern Arizona University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
