Peter Yared is the Founder & CTO at Sapho, where he is reinventing the way employees receive, share and take action on information. Previously, he was the CTO/CIO of CBS Interactive and founded five enterprise infrastructure companies that were acquired by Sun, VMware, Webtrends, Sprinklr and Prograph. Peter's software has powered brands from Fidelity to Home Depot to Lady Gaga. At Sun, Peter was the CTO of the Application Server Division and the CTO of the Liberty federated identity consortium that designed SAML 2.0.

Peter is the inventor of several patents on core Internet infrastructure including federated single sign on and dynamic data requests. He began programming games and utilities at age ten, and started his career developing systems for government agencies. Peter regularly speaks and writes about technology trends and their impact on society, and has written for the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, TechCrunch and VentureBeat.

Peter is an RYT500 certified yoga instructor, 2nd dan in Tomiki Aikido, and has practiced Muay Thai kickboxing for over fifteen years. He grew up internationally, speaks three languages, and has lived in or visited over 70 countries across seven continents.
