Project Description:
The health insurance company virtualized its administrative and payment systems to deliver these applications on demand, rather than maintaining 280 desktop clients. As part of the project, the company automated previously manual processes for handling claims. These new approaches have enabled employees to focus on value added activities, increasing employee satisfaction (as measured by a reduction of 42 percent in the annual turnover rate). In addition, after introducing the new technologies, Preferred Care Partners reduced FTEs in the claims department by over 50 percent.
