2012 Winner Profile

ManTech International Corp.

Project Description:
As a government contractor, ManTech must work within a stringent federal budgetary and regulatory environment, while its own suppliers are spread over 40 countries, including hostile environments in Afghanistan. In 2010, it launched its Supplier Management System, a Microsoft SharePoint-based portal that gives all suppliers direct access to ManTechs Oracle ERP and creates a single data stream, eliminating duplicate entries. ManTech project managers gain better control over costs and procurement, while suppliers gain many efficiencies, such as the ability to upload large numbers of timesheets at a time using Microsoft Excel. In addition, the system has increased cash flow. It improves billing accuracy, and its allowed ManTech to reduce the average time between sale and payment (day sales outstanding) by two weeks, because it can bill based on timesheet approval rather than by waiting for supplier invoices. The company estimates time to payback at 13 to 24 months.
