2013 Winner Profile

The Blackstone Group LP

Project Description:
Blackstone's BX Access is an investor portal that provides clients with a transparent look at their holdings. The company says it's the first system in the industry to combine documents, analytics and CRM in a centralized and automated information platform. The portal has advanced security features such as watermarking, tracking, and expiration of content. With the new portal, Blackstone has reduced external vendor costs by over $500,000 annually, re-purposed personnel in cases where the system automated their daily job function, and seen business expand over $47 billion since the portal went live. Calls to the Investor Relations department are down about 70 percent since the launch of BX Access because of the ease-of-use and simplicity of information retrieval. Moreover, Blackstone has not had a single leak of confidential information.
