2013 Winner Profile

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority

Project Description:
To support its mission is to protect investors and to ensure the integrity of financial markets, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) had to find a way for users to search both internal and Web-based documents and data. FINRA responded to this need by launching an Enterprise Search and Alerts initiative. Enterprise Search provides a Google-like interface that lets users perform full-text search of FINRA's data sources and document repositories. With Enterprise Alerts, users can create Google-style alerts to monitor and search internal FINRA sources and external websites so that any time new information becomes available that matches their search criteria, they can be immediately notified via email or alerted on some predefined schedule.
