Interstate Batteries' MarketIQ project has enabled the company to increase sales, operate more efficiently and better understand its customers by streamlining its communications processes. To reach those goals, the company redesigned the business processes it uses in the sales cycle and the processes it uses to serve its customers. Interstate is using Salesforce.com to standardize and streamline its sales process; using business intelligence to improve its business processes; and using master data management to understand its customers for all its lines of business. Since the project went live, Interstate has added over 35,000 dealers, who have contributed over $137,000,000 in sales.
