2013 Winner Profile

KLA-Tencor Corp.

Project Description:
To encourage collaboration among 1,200 field engineers while still protecting proprietary information, KLA-Tencor implemented a Knowledge Collaboration Solution. This secure system lets KLA-Tencor's field engineers share knowledge, such as how to configure and troubleshoot customer equipment, while technology from NextLabs automatically protects documents and data in the knowledge base with encryption and rights-management tools. Critical data is kept from unauthorized users while authenticated users get easy access. The system could save an estimated $28.35 million to $52.43 million a year.
