2013 Winner Profile

The Procter & Gamble Company

Project Description:
In a six-week period, Procter & Gamble held 211 AMP IT UP events at P&G companies around the globe to boost employees' PC performance and provide workers with training on each PC's newly installed tools. A total of 45,927 computers were "AMPed," upgraded to the Windows 7 platform for a faster system, more functionality, increased storage and better connectivity. Other upgrades included faster boot-up times, more inbox capacity and the simplification of password-management tools. To ensure the program's smooth operation, P&G issued emails ahead of time, providing an internal hub for registration, FAQs and small group training sessions on the new tools. All signups, promotions and support materials were found solely online to avoid print costs. The results of each on-site event were tracked so that P&G leaders could quickly respond to employee feedback and make modifications to improve the program's execution.
