Project Description:
With the goal of becoming a social business, TD Bank Group created the position of vice president of social media within the marketing department and set out to connect its 85,000 employees. The company deployed the IBM Connections social platform, first in Canada and then in the U.S. There are now more than 1.9 million network connections, 6,500 blogs, 5,800 communities, 5,900 forums, 5,500 wikis and 7,900 files shared since the launch. All this social activity has produced a reduction in emails and meetings and an increase in collaboration across North America.
