2015 Winner Profile

Cisco Systems Inc.

Project Description:
The global networking vendor replaced legacy tools with its Integrated Collections Management System, a real-time portal that automates and integrates disparate systems to provide a single source for managing Cisco's collection activities. (Cisco manages $4.5 billion in accounts receivables every quarter.) This portal combines the analytics, transactional and reporting aspects of managing collections into one seamless execution platform. Delivered in nine months, this project used a hybrid of agile and waterfall development methodologies and a combination of onsite and offshore resources -- all using a "follow the sun" approach. The system has reduced inefficiencies and delays in the collections process while increasing user productivity 52 percent.
