The world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions to the risk management and insurance industries, Crawford undertook a three-year, global business transformation project that replaced legacy applications with more than 30 business process management applications on its Crawford iQ platform. Claims processing in the aftermath of major catastrophes, for example, can now be conducted swiftly using real-time collaboration to "flash coordinate" resources and vital information. Business results include an 81 percent improvement in field operations and a 47 percent boost in productivity, along with a 74 percent reduction in processing times. In one low-margin area of its business (affinity claims), the iQ platform enabled $4 million in new revenue in 2014 from zero revenue the year before.
