2016 Winner Profile

US Autoforce

Project Description:
With a strong presence in a limited geography, U.S. AutoForce recognized a need to move into the Internet age and their IT department had a plan to get them there. Looking at the global geography and new ways to move from the current business model to one without borders, they set out to leverage big data and the Internet. Choosing to develop a solution in-house, the organization's own IT department has become one of the largest customers of the businesses own distribution network. Leveraging their new data-analysis process, U.S. AutoForce is able to identify product lines that eliminate inventory risk, reduce costs, and maximize profitability resulting in the company moving from selling exclusively their own inventory, to a more balanced mix (60/40) using external product sources which now accounts for 25 percent of all current sales.
