Project Description:
Toyota Motor North America began The Advanced IT for Manufacturing (AIT4Mfg) program to further their mission of delivering outstanding automotive products and services to their customers. The AIT4Mfg program is designed to leverage cutting edge technologies which include the Internet of Everything, advanced Predictive Analytics, and Mobility, all with the goal of providing further advancements in Toyota's five key areas of manufacturing plant operations which includes; Employee Development, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics. By implementing the new AIT4Mfg program, Toyota was able to reduce plant inefficiencies, increase over-all productivity, improve employee health, and accelerate employee education while also saving approximately $13M annually and eliminating 37 minutes of daily downtime by providing visualization of potential issues.
