Project Description:
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA share a vision of reaching for new heights and revealing the unknown for the benefit of humankind. Faced with the massive challenge of providing scientists and engineers with a means to quickly search through existing petabytes of data, documents, videos, and images for what has already been accomplished, in order to save possibly months of time, millions of dollars, and even enable breakthrough discoveries otherwise. To solve this critical problem, JPL's IT team developed the Interactive Smart Search software enabling users to efficiently search the complex and large data formats to retrieve answers to their questions in seconds instead of months.
