2017 Winner Profile

Cancer Treatment Centers of America

Project Description:
In 2016, as the first milestone in its Clinical Pathways Program, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) partnered with NantHealth, and Allscripts to integrate Eviti Advisor, software that supports the cancer treatment decision process, into the Allscripts electronic health record (EHR) used by CTCA. Cancer Treatment Centers of America was the first healthcare provider in the world to integrate Eviti into an EHR at the point of care within the oncologist's workflow. CTCA's goals are to maximize clinical workflows, improve medical outcomes, and enhance the experience for its patients. The integration with Allscripts EHR gives physicians easy access to critical information to help them make the right decisions for their oncology patients based on each patient's needs. Designed with the patient in mind, Clinical Pathways integrates the latest cancer research available into the EHR allowing CTCA oncologists to create personalized treatments at the point of care. Clinical Pathways also expedites insurance approval by providing the necessary clinical data to support selected treatment strategies.
