Project Description:
NYP OnDemand is NewYork-Presbyterian's (NYP) comprehensive suite of digital health services aimed at improving and expanding patient care as well as extending physician access. The suite includes: Second Opinion, Inter-Hospital consult, Emergency and Urgent care, and Virtual Visit, all on the NYP website and the NYP app. NYP is one of the largest, most comprehensive medical institutions in the nation and the only one on this scale to implement an enterprise-wide, comprehensive digital health portfolio. Since launching, NYP OnDemand services are significantly reducing the amount of time patients wait to receive care, which directly correlates to better outcomes. NYP's Digital Emergency/Express Care program has reduced the time a patient spends in the emergency department by 80 percent, from approximately two and a half hours to just 35 minutes. In addition, NYP's stroke programs have had equally impressive results. Its telestroke program has reduced time to treatment by eight minutes, and its mobile stroke treatment unit has reduced time to treatment by 68 minutes.
