Sedgwick's predictive technology runs continually throughout the life of a claim, allowing the company to identify risk factors earlier and at every stage in the claim process. This insight helps Sedgwick determine the right approach to achieve the best outcome for clients on claims where there is the likelihood that employees will be out longer than 90 days or claims with the potential for large financial loss, significant medical spend or attorney involvement. One of Sedgwick's largest communications clients saved nearly $5 million in the two years immediately after Sedgwick implemented its integrated predictive analytics program for its claims. In addition to overall cost savings, this client has also seen significant reductions in attorney involvement and a faster return to work for its employees.
