2018 Winner Profile

Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC)

Project Description:
Founded in 1999, the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is the global financial industry's go-to resource for cyber and physical threat intelligence analysis and sharing. FS-ISAC, which is committed to increasing its global membership, was created by and for members and operates as a member-owned non-profit entity. As such the organization is devoted to sharing timely, relevant and actionable physical and cybersecurity threat information to enable the financial services sector to better prepare for, respond to and mitigate the risks associated with cyber and physical threats. Embodying this global expansion was the 2017 launch of the Singapore Intelligence Center, enabling 24/7 threat and incident coverage for all members. FS-ISAC also created the first-ever centralized platform to inspire worldwide financial sector participation in cybersecurity information sharing. As an example, in late 2017, an attack leveraging the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication system occurred in one of Taiwan's major banks. FS-ISAC was able to gather key critical information more quickly than local law enforcement and government responders through the cooperation of its regional membership.
