Persona is a global technology framework that tailors IT resources to an employee's specific role and function. The bank acquires and installs approximately 60,000 to 120,000 new endpoint devices each year, including computers and phones. Previously, there were several different processes to handle this. Persona identifies who employees are, what they do, and which technologies are required or are most effective to meet their job-specific requirements. Employees are assigned one of eight 'personas,' with nine modifiers available based on job role, business unit, and corporate hierarchy. Assigned categories are associated with one or more service offerings within the procurement tools. To date, significant savings have been realized, some of it by removing underutilized assets from circulation.
