Exelon's Utility Digital Transformation project consists of interdependent, agile projects that deliver on the digital strategy developed in partnership by IT and the business. Exelon redefined its innovation model and implemented chatbot and voice assistance technologies. The project includes a common technology stack and introduces a service abstraction layer. A new mobile app offers a personalized experience with key features including one-swipe bill payment, easy account management, one-press outage reporting, and energy usage analysis. From 2017 to 2018, site traffic increased 11% overall, and access via mobile devices has grown 20%. The average completion rate for mobile web customers increased nearly 10%, from an average of 69% to 78%, with a similar increase for PC-based web customers.
