Project Description:
Launched in spring of 2018, the comprehensive customer loyalty program was executed in-house by GM IT. In less than a year, the program gained more than a million active members and awarded 15 billion points. Allowing customers to earn and redeem points for every interaction required data integration across more than 30 unique systems. The platform ingests 30 billion records daily and is currently over 1.5 petabytes and growing. Members can earn and redeem points in near real-time. Rewards members are almost twice as likely to buy different products and services and are 30% more likely to spend more money than prior to the program � for example, buy accessories, try OnStar, or go to dealers for service. Some 80% of GM dealers realized a positive ROI from My GM Rewards in nine months.
