We all have our tricks to get more done during the workday. We turn our IM to “do not disturb,” work from home, shut off our smartphones and doodle to-do lists on napkins. Fortunately for workers everywhere, there are a bunch of new(ish) apps available to help get more done in less time.

Here are five new apps to boost your productivity:

1. Snowball — Free, Android

Found this nifty new app the other day, and already my life is more productive. Snowball brings all your push notifications to one place, helping you avoid the annoying and embarrassing “Help So-and-so beat the next level!” during your next meeting. Simply tell the app what you want to see immediately, like texts from your kids, and what you don’t (Grandma is now following you on Twitter).

2. iMeet Agenday – Free, iOS and Android

This simply powerful (and huge bonus: free) smart calendar app is the perfect way to manage my daily schedule—personal and professional. After checking out my agenda for the day, I can manage and join meetings in a click when I’m on the road or working remote. The easy scheduler lets me load up date and time options for upcoming meetings, and then poll the audience to see what date/time works best. Other freebies include Salesforce integration, group calling and turn-by-turn directions.

3. Listen — Free, iOS and Android

While I don’t really want my smartphone to play “Hotel California” to colleagues when they call, I do love Listen’s “Drive Mode” and “Voice Status” capabilities. In a nutshell, Listen lets you record and play a custom message to callers. Mine says: “Thanks for calling. I’m in meetings until noon and unavailable. Mind sending me an email?” Unfortunately for most folks, Listen’s currently only available on T-Mobile and MetroPCS, but will hopefully expand to other carriers soon.

4. Johnson & Johnson 7-Minute Workout App — Free, iOS

Productivity’s not just for work. It’s also for your workout. This great app from Johnson & Johnson helps users sneak in a quick calorie-burner in seven minutes. The intervals are fantastic for getting in a quick workout between conference calls, flights and the back-to-school carpool.

5. Wunderlist for Apple Watch – Free, iOS and Android

Okay, so Wunderlist definitely isn’t “new” but its Apple Watch integration is – and it’s really, really good. From your Apple Watch, you can now add new to-do’s, call up your lists using voice dictation and automatically set due dates and reminders.

What’s new on your smartphone or tablet?
